Arimidex is an aromatase inhibitor, the effect of which is quite strong. It is characterized above all by the fact that it is a selective and non-steroidal product. It is important to know that its basic purpose is to treat breast cancer in women. The basic ingredient in the preparation is anastrozole. It is responsible for preventing the production of estrogen and blocking aromatase. All these properties of Arimidex are designed to completely eliminate breast cancer in women. This peculiarity has an incredibly effective effect. This is ensured by the fact that Arimidex is also sometimes used to treat people with hypogonadism as a substitute form of androgenic therapy. However, it is worth knowing that its use can increase testosterone levels by up to 50%.

Arimidex (Anastrozole) – Action

The main ingredient in Arimidex is Anastazol, which is designed to block estrogens in peripheral tissues and the effects of aromatase. All of this counteracts the development of cancer. It also increases testosterone in the body by up to 50%.

Anastazol in Arimidex is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, so that the maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after about two hours. The metabolism of this compound takes place in the liver.

Arimidex (anastrozole) – dosage

Dosage: We take the remedy orally, preferably under medical supervision. Arimidex in a dose of 1 mg and 10 mg inhibits the aromatization of androstenedione, and the content of estrone and estradiol is reduced by 86.5% and 83.5%. It reaches its maximum effect after about two hours.Some men are already satisfied with a dose of 0.125 mg per day.

Its use prevents gynecomastia, i. H. enlarged nipples in men, and water retention in the body.

Contraindications to taking are certainly hypersensitivity to Anastazol, liver and kidney diseases, malabsorption syndrome, premenopausal period, simultaneous treatment with tamoxifen or estrogen. It is also not recommended for people with heart problems – then it is better to use Nolvadex.

Arimidex (anastrozole) – side effects

By using Anastazol in steroid cycles, we reduce the side effects of estrogens and their beneficial effects. This affects cholesterol and blood pressure. Using Arimidex along with testosterone lowers levels of good cholesterol in HDL blood.

After use, side effects may occur such as: hot flashes, joint pain, vaginal dryness, hair loss, nausea, diarrhea, headache, anorexia, drowsiness, fatigue, vomiting, allergic reactions, hives and anaphylaxis, reproductive system disorders and many others. It is also not recommended to drive or use machines after ingestion. It must also not be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
